whispertone is a one-man project from Puerto Rican guitarist John F. Feliciano.

It exists as a creative outlet — so ideas see the light of day and reach new ears, instead of living only in his mind.

Rock is the center of gravity: modern rock up front, with the weight of 1990s rock and grunge underneath. The songs are raw and sophisticated in the same breath — not sanded down into something they are not, and not left unfinished.

Every rock track starts the same way: guitar, a rough demo, then the rest of the arrangement. AI is used to make the demo come to life — vocals, density, the wall of sound a solo musician could not build alone. Used honestly, the tools do not replace the artist. They set the artist loose.

The songs also serve as a journal. Themes become a way to sit with reflective topics and life experience: perspective shifts, old chapters closing, resilience that cost something.

Lofi instrumentals sit beside that work. Built for deep focus and background listening, they pull from electronic textures, instrumental guitar, rock, and Caribbean musical elements without making any of those the whole story.

Message to Venus is the parallel band. DE'FEKT was an earlier alternative rock/metal project in Puerto Rico. whispertone is the catalog that does not wait on a rehearsal room.

Every song gets a visualizer. Rock tracks with lyrics get animated videos. Lofi pieces get hour-long versions for deep focus.

No gatekeepers. Ideas that used to live on a hard drive, released.

The riffs are real. So is the reason they leave the room.
